At first pass, the image above looks like an oversaturated painting. But it’s not: this is a photograph of a woman carefully made up to look like painting outside of a MAC cosmetics store at Ala Moana outdoor shopping center in Hawaii two weeks ago. Another photo and large sizes are here if you’re like us and you just can’t believe it’s not Photoshop; it’s part of MAC makeup’s artist creations where (makeup) life imitates art. Last Halloween in the same vein, MAC makeup artist Karin Stone created the incredible Lichtenstein Girl, and MAC posted 21 face charts showing how to create comic book looks on their Facebook page.
