Often times you can dispute a ticket if the VIN # was clearly visible but the citing parking office neglected to note at least the last four digits of your VIN. I recently disputed a ticket which said my VIN was NV (not visible, it WAS), that my car was 2 door and that it was grey. My vehicle is a four door green Volvo XC90 - pow - that ticket was DISMISSED - - the failure in my case had nothing to do with the meter but the lazy parking maid and his own failures.
