Northern Voice

Northern Voice is a two day blogging conference, now in it’s 2nd year, that takes place Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th in Vancouver. Friday night is Moose Camp, which is inspired by BarCamp, and Saturday is the main conference. There will be many great speakers participating, including Matt Mullenweg (WordPress), Dave Sifry (Technorati), Robert Scoble (Microsoft’s Channel 9), Kevin Marks (Technorati), Chris Pirillo (Lockergnome), Marnie Webb (CompuMentor), Eric Rice (Audioblog.com), Schlomo Rabinowitz, just to name a few.

I’ll be attending along with all of these fine folks. If you are planning on going you can register here. More info can be found in the FAQ and on the wiki.

We hope to bring together up to bloggers and blogging neophytes to:

- Learn more about social, cultural and technological aspects of blogging
- Exchange ideas about improving our weblogs
- Meet each other in meatspace
- Network, make new friends and influence people
- Have an excuse for a party

Special thanks to Boris Mann (Bryght), Kris Krug (Bryght) and Will Pate (Raincity Studios) for letting me know about Northern Voice when I met them at last year’s Gnomedex.
