New York Times Reader 2.0

The New York Times has just released Times Reader 2.0, a really nice update to their desktop newspaper application, which now runs on Adobe Air.

I like the NYT. I have the (frequently broken) iPhone app. I read it on the web often.

But this new app seems crippled. My two favorite sections are Science and Technology but they are nowhere to be found in the new app. What’s up with that?

Otherwise, I do think this is a nicely done app and I will probably continue to use it. Too bad they didn’t actually include (IMHO) the good parts!
