NASA Releases an EPIC View of the Moon Transiting the Earth Taken From One Million Miles Away

NASA has released an “epic” view of the Moon transiting the Earth taken by the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) spacecraft’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) camera. The DSCOVR orbits the Earth from one million miles away, which allowed it to capture this unique view of the far side of the Moon as it passed between the spacecraft and our planet.
