Muhammad Ali Playfully Spars With Sylvester Stallone Onstage During the 1977 Oscars

In memory of his beloved friend Muhammad Ali, who sadly passed away last week, actor Sylvester Stallone shared a fond memory of the two men during the 1977 Oscar Awards. While Stallone was presenting the “Best Supporting Actress” award , Ali came up behind him and jokingly told Stallone that he stole his script. Stallone wholeheartedly agreed, stating that the boxing great was truly the real Apollo Creed before they began to playfully spar onstage.

Fantastic man who I came to know well.… He was the real Apollo Creed!

Thank you Muhammad Ali for all that you've given us. You'll be missed.
