On the one hand, it would make sense that people would use the semi-genericised brand name Kool-Aid by mistake and it would also make sense that the Jonestown people would save money by using a cheaper (or more available brand.

On the other hand, the Flavor-Aid postulate is just what the people at Kraft/Kool Aid would want you to think.

And here’s the kicker: There’s video around of Jim Jones giving an interview at Jonestown with three giant bags (or cases or whatever) of Kool-Aid visible over his left shoulder. I knows. I seen it.

So if they had both products at Jonestown, it doesn’t really seem knowable whether one the other or both were used. Based on what I’ve seen…

The speech involves a fair amount of back and forth and discussion– did they have someone set to play the woman who questions Jim?

..and yes- the Kool Aid vs. Flavor Aid correction is always appreciated.
