Meet the Zinesters Video

One of the highlights of last weekend’s Webzine 2005 was Renegade Rene’s Meet the Zinesters video blog series. Rene and several dedicated volunteers setup a video interview station upstairs on the right-hand balcony of the Swedish American Hall’s main room (Freya). Webzine attendees were then invited to do a short video interview against a green screen and then the video segments were edited together with the person’s website showing up behind them, chroma keyed in place of the green screen. A few special effects where added in, a bit of rendering and then the videos were uploaded to the most excellent Blip TV, who are hosting the videos for free. The videos are up on the Internet Archive as well.

The resulting video clips are really wonderful and are linked here for your viewing pleasure:

Thanks Scott, and don’t worry, Jackson, I’ll get you next time. This was loads of fun – thanks to everyone who stepped in front of the camera.
