Scottish Folds can have folded or prick (erect) ears. In order to produce this breed, a folded ear cat must be bred to a prick eared cat, or else the cartilage in the ear will be damaged. As kittens, their ears do not begin to fold until they are 4 weeks old. They have cobby bodies and unusual coat patterns.
