The Smoking Gun is reporting on a North Carolina man who was arrested for creating a “Barrel Monster” street art sculpture out of construction barrels.

This is awesome, I love random acts of creativity like this… not to mention that this barrel monster looks really good! I’d love to wake up to a city filled with things like that every once in a while, it would be refreshing!

Too bad our society has no other response than to arrest the artist for destruction of property. I thought they did an amazing job!

I agree with previous poster Harry (guerrilla artist). Love the creativity. This must have looked amazing in person. And in this economy, you gotta love free entertainment.
