Maker Faire

This Saturday, February 24th Maker Faire organizers Dale Dougherty, Sherry Huss, Natalie Villalobos, David Pescovitz and others from Make Magazine will be meeting with prospective makers at TechShop in Menlo Park. Come down if you have a project that you want to present for this year’s Maker Faire or for a future issue of Make Magazine.

Here’s the announcement that Dale sent out regarding the “auditions”:

TechShop Auditions for Maker Faire

On Saturday, February 24th, we will be holding open auditions for Maker Faire from 10 am to 2pm at TechShop in Menlo Park. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your project and discuss it with Make’s editors. We are looking specifically for projects for this year’s Maker Faire, which will be held May 19-20 at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. We will also consider the best project for a future issue of Make magazine.

In addition, a NY-based film crew will be on-hand to record this session. We will also have seating for about 30 people if you’d like to watch the auditions. In addition, it’s a great opportunity to get a tour of TechShop’s new facility.

P.S. Please don’t get hung up on the word “auditions.” Consider it a preview. We are interested in seeing your work and understanding how we can feature it best at Maker Faire. We will be talking about your project, trying to evaluate it for the Make and Maker Faire audience.

Thanks,
Dale
