“Lucid Dreams of Gabriel” is a short film produced by Disney Research that follows a son and mother on a surrealist, non-linear journey told through a series of new experimental production and post-production technologies. Disney Research created the short, which experiments with HDR (high dynamic range), frame rate, and computational slow motion, for a number of reasons.

2. Education to take researchers through the nuts and bolts of film production and post production
3. Integration to have many researchers working towards a common goal
4. Footage to create professional film footage for future experiments and to provide it to the research community
