Loving Vincent, A Film Made From Vincent Van Gogh Oil Painting Animations Created by Over 100 Artists

Breakthru Films, the producers of the upcoming animated film Loving Vincent have released the first trailer about the life of troubled artist Vincent Van Gogh. This groundbreaking film will be the first film ever to be fully animated using oil canvases as the frames. Over 100 artists created the paintings based on Van Gogh work, running at 12 frames per second.

This is the first fully painted feature film in the world, directed by Polish painter and director Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman (Oscar winner for producing “Peter and the Wolf”). The film is produced by Oscar-winning Studios Breakthru Films and Trademark Films.
