Orin: How is this “brought to you by Chevrolet”? I know Doc Pop and he’s far from a corporate sell out, which seems to be your implication. Doc is one talented artist, whether he’s making music, stitching jeans or printing memes. I don’t see any corporate sponsorship or tie-in on any of this.

It’s funny, but I’m really disappointed that it’s an ad for something. Especially with all the “Anonymous” folks in town.

The funny thing is that I had no idea Doc Pop was behind this when I shot the photo. It was only later that I found it was his promo. Bravo Doc!

It’s from Doc Popular, featured on LuaghingSquid quite a bit. It’s a promotion for his first album, “Me Geek Pretty One Day.” The first song is indeed about Lolcats, the second is about Gary Gygax. Oddly enough, the whole thing is “brought to you by” Chevrolet.

Last I heard, Doc Pop will also be performing at the Laughsquid event at Cellspace this weekend.
