Les Ballets De Faile, FAILE’s Ballet-Themed Collage Art Installation for New York City Ballet

The worlds of street art and ballet collide in “Les Ballets De Faile,” a collage art installation by Brooklyn art duo FAILE commissioned by the New York City Ballet. FAILE’s Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller delved into the New York City Ballet’s archive in order to create a series of ballet-themed collages. The centerpiece of the installation is the “Tower of FAILE,” a 40 foot high obelisk covered in collage art. Additionally, individually painted wooden blocks will be handed out to audience members at two NYCB Art Series performances this spring. “Les Ballets De Faile” can be seen at the David H. Koch Theater during the New York City Ballet winter season as well as during a public showing, February 10 to 17. For more on the installation, see this ANIMAL New York video:
