Chris Higgins has great write up on the mental_floss blog about photographer, filmmaker and musician Jamie Livingston, who shot a Polaroid photo every day of his life from March 31, 1979 until the day he died on October 25, 1997 (his birthday) .
Jamie shot a total of 6,000 Polaroids, which have been all been scanned and uploaded to an amazing online gallery by his friends Hugh Crawford and Betsy Reid, who spend years working on the project and even organized an art opening in 2007 at Bard College featuring Jamie’s photos.

UPDATE: Here’s an update on Jamie Livingston’s Polaroid gallery, it turns out it was not quite ready to launch and all of the traffic brought the website down. They are working to get it back online. Kudos to Hugh Crawford and Betsy Reid for all of their hard work on maintaining the legacy of Jamie Livingston and his incredible documentation of his life (and death).
