iTunes 4.9

Apple just released iTunes 4.9 which now supports podcasting. They even have a new Podcast Directory which already features over 3000 podcasts and includes Adam Curry’s PodFinder, a free service that delivers weekly podcast content. Adam was Saturday’s keynote speaker at last week’s Gnomedex 5.0 conference.

With iTunes 4.9 you can now browse, find, sample and subscribe to thousands of free podcasts — radio shows delivered over the Internet to your computer — then sync them to your iPod and listen anytime, anywhere.

I am excited about this. I have been thinking about this kind of thing for a while and I am glad to see it happening.

I am still living in Kyoto and a former classmate started a Podcast called Kyoto Podcast . I am doing a weekly feature on strange things in Kyoto. Right now I am focusing on food.

I am also working on a Three Day Stubble Podcast and came here today to check if you are supporting RSS feed and I am happy to see you are.

I hope to see you next month.
