Incredible Macro Photos of Butterfly and Moth Wings

Macro Photos of Butterfly Wings

Photographer Linden Gledhill took these incredibly detailed macro photos of butterfly and moth wings. Most of the images were captured between 7X and 50X magnification, and the broad depth of field was accomplished by combining multiple images in a process known as focus stacking. Gledhill used a Cognisys automated macro focusing rail to capture the images.
