In Orbit, An Art Installation Featuring Two Artists Living in a Giant Hamster Wheel in Brooklyn

Artists Living in a Hamster Wheel

Artists Ward Shelley and Alex Schweder are living in a 25-foot-diameter sculpture reminiscent of a hamster wheel for their ongoing installation “In Orbit” at The Boiler in Brooklyn. The giant wheel contains furniture and accommodations along its circumference, thus requiring the artists to walk in tandem to rotate the sculpture and access different parts. The artists will live in the sculpture for a ten-day period, which ends March 9, 2014. The sculpture will remain on display through April 5. Gothamist has more photo and videos of the installation.
