Illustrator Embellishes Photos of Turin, Italy With Whimsical Designs

Italian illustrator Luciano Cina has created a wonderful series in which he takes photos of his hometown of Turin and embellishes them with lighthearted designs, sometimes adding legs, tail and a mane to a simple puddle to make a charging horse or adding balloon-holding tentacles to the arched doorway of a stone building. Cina spoke with Instagram about how he comes up with his ideas.

I like to inspect small details that might seem almost normal or be taken for granted. I play with those details to subvert the reality and create these little worlds
