How a Drone Photo on Twitter Led to the Amazing Rescue of a Man and Dog From a Flooded Home

In the aftermath of the highly destructive Hurricane Matthew, filmmaker ImSoFIRST took out his flying robot for a spin around a flooded neighborhood in Hope Mills, North Carolina and posted a resulting photo onto Instagram and Twitter. By sheer and wonderful coincidence, Craig Williams saw the tweet and immediately recognized it as the house where his brother and elderly dog were trapped and reached out to ImSoFIRST for help. Once the two connected, a boat was dispatched to the flooded home to rescue man and dog, all of which was captured on ImSoFIRST’s drone.
