Heath Ledger Talks About His Life and His Creative Process In A 2005 Interview Animated By PBS

Words are usually there to disguise who someone is.

The most recent episode of the PBS animated series Blank on Blank features the late actor Heath Ledger talking about meeting his partner Michelle Williams, his creative process in preparing for a role and his newborn baby girl in this 2005 interview with journalist Christine Spines for Entertainment Weekly.

f having true love and love that is expressive and free outside of work affects a project where you have to be restrained and in denial and fixed and closed off. This doesn’t mean you go out and just destroy your love outside of your life and kind of mirror your movie. We’re actors at the end of the day. I don’t take it home with me. My experience outside of work, I love… when I hear wrap, it’s the most exciting part of my day. I’m the first to have my make-up off, in the car, out. I’ve gotta go home. I want to get back to my life. I love it back there.
