Making its debut at the Handcar Regatta is The Lumbering Contraption a human-powered railcar powered by a large-scale hot-rod hamster wheel, built by The Tree House Crew, who created the wonderful Steampunk Tree House.

The Lumbering Contraption was designed to run on the rails and can accommodate 3-4 runners inside the 10′ dia. wheel, plus a Pilot “Chicken” up front… complete with “cow catcher”.
