Guerrilla Monty Python ‘Ministry of Silly Walks’ Sign Encourages Silly Walking in Norwegian Village

In the small Norwegian village of Ørje, a doctored pedestrian crossing sign encourages people to engage in silly walks inspired by the famed “The Ministry of Silly Walks” sketch by Monty Python. The sign was installed by local art collective Kreativiteket, and everyone from locals to the town mayor are delighted by it. However, Norwegian transportation authorities are not amused and have demanded that it be removed.
