“Golden Age of Insects: The Great Grasshoppers” is a whimsical short film by Wayne Unten, an animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, that imagines a world where people piloted grasshoppers once upon a time.

Unten created this clip by adding an animated pilot over the top of live-action footage shot with his iPhone using the TVPaint animation software without resorting to rotoscoping.
