		<description>i read  it  ,  about  a 3rd  could     be cut  out   and  you  wouldn&#039;t  miss  much  .  i read  it  with  interest  having  gone  to  my first  punk  show in 78  but  for  a book  that is focusing  on bay  area  punk  , they hardly mentioned  the north bay  where  there were  a few  diy  shows , dk&#039;s  in a old novato  movie theatre  , and  there  were  hella rad  shows  up  in russian  river  and cotati. but  spot on   was  ruthies  being  a  place  were  metal  and  hardcore   shared  the venue. The Mab  did  do metal  mondays    but ruthies   was  the melting pot</description>
