“Freedom for Liberland!” is a short documentary about the small micronation of Liberland‘s fight for recognition. The country was claimed in 2015 by President VÃt Jedlicka on a piece of disputed land between Serbia and Croatia.
Croatian police have been arresting would-be Liberland citizens (including Jedlicka) as they try to enter the country from Croatia, but Jedlicka and his constituents continue to fight for international recognition.
Sometimes it’s easier to start your own country than to change the one you’re in.
