Flying Robot Quadrotor Uses Claw to Pick Up an Object at High Speed

Inspired by the aerial hunting techniques of birds of prey, students at the University of Pennsylvania GRASP Lab have developed a quadrotor robot that uses a claw to grab a stationary object in a high speed swooping maneuver. The quadrotor can perform the feat at up to 9.8 feet per second.
