Filmmaker Creates a Time-Lapse Documenting Each Mile of His 2,600-Mile Hike Along the Pacific Crest Trail

In 2013 and 2014, Austin-based creative director and filmmaker Andy Dávidházy walked the entirety of the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,600-mile journey that took him up the West Coast of North America from the Mexico–U.S. border to British Columbia. He documented the five-month journey, one mile at a time, in a fascinating time-lapse, which gives a good sense of the trail as well as Dávidházy’s physical transformation (he lost 50 pounds). Dávidházy is currently producing a fictionalized short film entitled “Lost or Found” about the Pacific Crest Trail.
