Facebook Marketplace, A New Feature That Lets Users Buy and Sell Items Directly on the Site

Facebook Messenger Blue Background

Facebook is rolling out Marketplace, a new feature that lets users buy and sell items directly on the site. Users can search for items for sale in their area, and list items for sale by posting a picture. Parties can contact each other directly through Marketplace to arrange the details of the sale.

Marketplace opens with photos of items that people near you have listed for sale. To find something specific, search at the top and filter your results by location, category or price. You can also browse what’s available in a variety of categories such as Household, Electronics and Apparel. Use the built-in location tool to adjust the region you’re looking in, or switch to a different city altogether.

Marketplace is first being released in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand in the Facebook app, with more countries and a desktop version coming soon.
