‘Face Hacking’, Surreal Art Projected Onto Human Faces Using Real-Time Tracking and 3D Projection

“Face Hacking” is a project by Tokyo-based producer Nobumichi Asai that uses real-time face tracking and 3D projection to create complex and surreal false faces on top of real ones. Using two seated people as a canvas, the project cycles through an ever-changing array of imagined creatures. “Face Hacking” is a followup to the artist’s recent “OMOTE” project.
