In the eighth episode of Everything But The News, a documentary comedy series created by Steve Goldbloom and Noah Pink for PBS Digital Studios, Goldbloom has his hands full trying to perform 30 interviews in three days in order to accurately report on startup culture. He visits a TechCrunch Disrupt event, has reddit explained to his mother, and tries to wrap his head around there being a startup for starting startups.
PBS puts Steve’s endurance to the test as he attempts to cover startup culture in California on a tight deadline. The whirlwind trip takes him to some of the swankiest offices in the Bay Area, from Reddit and Yammer to the latest incubators and a private plane company set on disrupting the airline business. Steve’s field reports face their own disruption due to a shoe-string PBS budget.
