While Ellen was recently filming in Australia, the show’s host Ellen DeGeneres played a hidden camera prank on beachgoers at Sydney’s Manly Beach. She sent her writers, Kevin and Lauren, out to the beach “to mingle with the locals” and the whole time she was telling them what to say through a secret earpiece.
