Dungeon Majesty, A Live Action D&D Public Access TV Show

by Scott Beale on January 3, 2008 · 9 comments

All of this recent Dungeons & Dragons nostalgia made me think of Dungeon Majesty, a hilarious public access cable television show from 2004 produced by Telefantasy Studios where four women play D&D and act out the various battle scenes with ridiculous green screen effects. I love the animations of the monsters they encounter.

Here’s the original trailer. Episodes of Dungeon Majesty are available on DVD and can now be viewed YouTube as well. Natural 20!

Holy shiite this is so hilarious.. Best part of it is the soundtrack, “period music” from those days long ago when everyone was playing D+D. True story, my mother ran a little toy store that sold a ton of D+D figurines, books, game packs etc. Weird times…

The only thing that throws it off is to have 4 women playing. It always seemed to be a big group of ubernerd boys and maybe a nerdy girl joining in once in a blue moon..

Thanks for the flashbacks Scott

I REALLY wish G4 or Comedy Central would do Celebrity D&D like they did with Celebrity Poker. I want Jack Black and Seth Green to show their dice skills now!

AWESOME.

You’re right Sean… how did they get four girls to play D&D?

That’ certainly something my D&D group never figured out.
