Dictionary of Numbers, A Chrome Extension That Provides Points of Comparison for Numerical Figures

Dictionary of Numbers is a Chrome extension created by Glen Chiacchieri that provides understandable points of comparison for numerical figures. For example, if a webpage says eight million people, Dictionary of Numbers will put it in context by informing you that’s also the population of New York City. The extension provides in-line explanations, allows users to search for equivalent figures, and a beta feature also suggests comparisons as users type. It’s available to download in the Chrome Web Store.
