SFAppeal is reporting the old Hugo Hotel at 6th and Howard in San Francisco, the building that Brian Goggin transformed into the Defenestration, is being sold for 4.6 million. Defenestration is a wonderful site specific art installation that features furniture escaping from windows and roof of the building. When we all worked on it 1997 it was only supposed to be up for one year. Here we are 12 years later and it looks like it might finally be the end for this San Francisco cultural landmark.
