‘Dear Guardians’, A Short Film About the Volunteers Who Watch Over the Monumental Temple Sculpture at Burning Man

“Dear Guardians” is a short film about the volunteers — known as Temple Guardians — who watch over the Temple, a recurring monumental sculpture at the Burning Man festival. The film was directed by Ian MacKenzie.

Since 2002, the Guardians have held an integral role at the Temple of Burning Man. They have remained largely invisible, holding space from the shadows. Until now.
