Cymothoa Exigua, Sex-Changing Tongue-Eating Parasites

The latest installment of PBS NOVA’s Gross Science describes the life of the cymothoa exigua, a tongue-eating parasite that lives in the mouths of fish. The strange crustaceans feed on the fish’s tongue, and can even change sex and breed in the fish’s mouth.
