Coyote Peterson Finds a Fish That Can Breathe In and Out of Water in an Alaskan Tide Pool

While exploring a low-tide pool in Haines, Alaska, the inquisitive Coyote Peterson of Brave Wilderness turned over rocks and dragged his net to located and examine the local fauna. Among his discoveries were a sand flea, a giant Nereid worm and a school of remarkable goby fish who have the ability to breathe outside of water.

This tidal mud flat is home to all sorts of amazing sea creatures including isopods, nereid worms, and even air breathing fish! Some of them are so bizarre you have to see them to believe it!
