		<description>I was in New York this spring with several of my students, visiting the United Nations, and on our way back to the hotel one evening we came across one of these insane vehicles. It swerved around the street insanely, forcing traffic and pedestrians to scatter, and one of my students, who was deeply interested in Thomas Hobbes&#039; theories on interstate politics said, &quot;wow - that&#039;s what happens when you try to deal with international politics democratically, isn&#039;t it?&quot;  

I was so proud, and slightly disconcerted.</description>
