CollegeHumor Prank War, Streeter Seidell vs. Amir Blumenfeld

by Scott Beale on September 11, 2007 · 12 comments

Streeter Seidell and Amir Blumenfeld both work at CollegeHumor and have been in an all out prank war for the last 7 months. This has all led up to Amir’s recent Yankee Stadium prank on Streeter. It’s almost painful to watch. Amir has really upped the ante, it will be interesting to see how Streeter strikes back in the coming months.

Here are all 6 of the pranks, which first started back in February. It’s best to watch them in order, seeing the prank war escalate over time, with each new prank crueler than the previous one.

UPDATE 1: As it turns out I’ve posted about Streeter before, he’s the guy who wrote the hilarious Internet Commenter Business Meeting video.

UPDATE 2: Prank War 4 (”Streeter Bombs”), reminds me of an opposite version of “Best Gig Ever”, a classic prank by Improv Everywhere from 2004.

UPDATE 3: Streeter gets his revenge on Amir in the latest installment, “Prank War 7: The Half Million Dollar Shot”.

There’s a line in Changing Lanes about what happens when people stop following the social contract. It’s intriguing and horrifying to see these two friends gradually amble down the road towards savagery. I can’t wait to see the next one, where Streeter gives Amir rohypnol and then injects him with gonhorrea!

That 6th one (at the yankee game) looks super fake when they start arguing – these prank vids aren’t funny imho

the meeting/conference video is funny though

My suspicion is that these pranks are a big viral marketing prank on the viewers. That last one looked fishy to me. They are good actors though.

I understand the Skeeter and the gf are still together. I think Skeeter has missed his opportunity. He should pretend that his girlfriend broke up with him and that he goes into a downward spiral of depression. He should take leave from work and pretend that he just not coming in anymore. Get a hobo beard going. Make Amir feel really guilty.
