Japan-based artist Nasa Funahara uses decorative masking tape to recreate classic paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Johannes Vermeer, and other masters. Funahara, a student at Musashino Art University in Tokyo, began creating art with masking tape for a class assignment. She later branched out into her recreations of classic paintings. The tape is from Funahara’s personal collection–she is an avid collector of masking tape and has about 450 rolls.
