Daring Fireball reminds us about “Christmas ‘59″, a short story by John Hughes, which was the basis for the 1989 film National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
It is follow up his short story “Vacation ‘58″, which was turned into the 1983 film National Lampoon’s Vacation. Both short stories are based on experiences he had as a child and were published in National Lampoon Magazine. We miss you John.
