I love love love bud light clamatos…they are sooo tasty. Have an open mind! They are super excellent when you are a little hungry! I only like them super cold, almost frozen. If you like bloody marys…then you should love clamatos. I think I am their biggest fan….

The correct word for beer + clam & tomato juice is “Chabela”. Michelada is for lemon juice mixed with beer. In Mexico D.F. chela = beer.

I second Shane, above. Unlike Bud or Bud Light, these Chelada’s are actually really good on sunny day, and especially tasty when drunk on a boat… anyone out there have the recipe, so I could mix up my own at home?

I can’t imagine the pre-made stuff is any good, but I’m a big fan of Tecate + V8 + a little Sriracha or Tobasco. Good stuff. :D

This came up briefly at the Austin GMan Laughing Squid drink up last month. I mentioned that you can get good ones at certain bars in Austin, but couldn't come up with any off the top of my head. The Austin Chronicle did a feature on the Best Micheladas in town in August 2008. So now you have something to do the next time you're in Austin...
