Yesterday Barack Obama launched Change.gov, a new website including a blog that is part of the Presidential Transition Project, helping Obama move from President-Elect to President. They are also in the process of appointing the US’s first CTO. Today they posted video of Obama’s first press conference following his election.

The Presidential Transition Project is the enormous effort of hundreds of people coming together to lay out the agenda and priorities for the Obama Administration. Led by President-Elect Barack Obama, Vice-President Elect Joe Biden, a transition advisory board, and respected leaders from both the public and private sector, the transition is responsible for ensuring that the transfer of power from the current administration to the Obama Administration is smooth and that the continuity of leadership is preserved.

Marshall Kirkpatrick, who is a lead writer for excellent web technology news blog ReadWriteWeb, recently wrote a post on “Ten Sites for Finding Wonderful Things” and we were honered to be included along with our friends from Boing Boing, Waxy and Neatorama.

Laughing Squid is a great place to find cool art, projects and photography from San Francisco and elsewhere. It’s the work of web-hosting company owner and aficionado of cool Scott Beale.

Beale’s posts regularly hit the front page of Digg and his excellent photos are regularly ripped off without attribution by mainstream media outlets.
