Last week Adobe released a free Photoshop.com iPhone App, that allows you to manipulate photos shot with an iPhone and share them on Photoshop.com.

Photoshop.com Mobile for iPhone provides a fun, seamless experience to view photos with full-screen previews and edit images with gesture-based editing. Consumers can transform their photos with essential edits like crop, rotate and flip. Users can correct and play with color by adjusting the saturation and tint, enhancing the exposure and vibrancy and converting images to black and white.

Photoshop.com Mobile for iPhone also offers eye-catching special effects. The Sketch tool helps photos look like drawings, and Soft Focus can give photos a subtle blur for artistic effect. With just one click, users can also apply dramatic changes to the look and feel of their photos with effects such as Warm Vintage, Vignette and Pop. Edits or changes can be undone or redone so users can experiment without the worry of losing the original photo.

Here’s more on the app from Josh Lowensohn (CNET’s Web Crawler) and Thomas Hawk. Joe Lifrieri, at Hugs For Monsters, created confrontational and extremely funny splash pages for visitors viewing his site in Internet Explorer 6. This is what half-ass PNG support and CSS compliance does to fragile developers.

I just started using Foxmarks, a Firefox extension that makes it super easy to synchronize bookmarks between multiple computers. I was able to set it up in a few minutes, syncing my bookmarks with all of my computers, both Mac and Windows.

They recently introduced sync profiles, allowing you to separate your home and work bookmarks. You can also access you bookmarks online at my.foxmarks.com.

Previously I was using Google Browser Sync, but Google recently announced that they will be discontinuing the service, so it was time to look for another option.

Another bookmark syncing service I’ve been exploring is Weave from Mozilla Labs. They recently released prototype version 0.2, but it is really slow and according to their website they are maxed out and no longer taking registrations. I’m going to keep my eye on Weave since it has potential, but for now Foxmarks does the trick.

UPDATE: Foxmarks has added bookmark syncing for Safari and Internet Explorer.

Transforming Freedom is a Vienna-based project that tries to build up an archive of interviews, focusing on digital culture, its technical, political, theoretical and artistic trends and historical backgrounds; like an oral history of the digital age. The team wants to collect significant audios and invites key players, theorists, inventors and originators to tell their story from their own point of view. The interviews are accessible for free as streamed audio files as well as in transcribed form. The whole project is under development — but you can already find a couple of discoursive gems.

Like an interview with Hartmut Pilch about Software Patents. Hartmut founded the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure (FFII) and gives insights into the history of patent law, the theoretical shortcomings of the concept of software patents and their consequences.

To quote Hartmut: “My message to the patent world is: Either get back to the doctrines of forces of nature or face the elimination of your system.”
