Stockholm-based Kollektivet Livet created Use Condoms, a music video for a song created by using the sounds of condoms. It was filmed by Yosef Elkelany and was originally created as an ad for Swedish sex advocacy group RFSU, but was never used.

The Topps Star Wars # 207 C-3PO trading card from 1977 appears to show the golden robot with a golden rod. There is a question of how this legendary blooper card was published: some say it was a disgruntled artist that added in the “error” and some say that the official word is that it was an accident due to “timing and light” (ie. a wardrobe malfunction). According to Snopes.com, this card was later replaced with one that airbrushed out his robo-boner. In any event, there seem to be a few of the lewd ones available for sale on Ebay.

This creepy Bic Shaver commercial from 1977 suggests using their razor is like getting “stroked”. Fred, the young groom in the ad, is told on his wedding day to “stop shaving,” that it’s “better to get stroked in the morning.” He tries it and proclaims, “I’m going to get stroked like this EVERY morning!” Later his bride awkwardly announces (at his wedding no less) “that he really got stroked this morning.” The woman in the blue dress seems to be the only one who understands what getting “stroked in the morning” actually entails.

The Miami New Times Riptide blog is reporting that the Miami, Florida mansion where scenes from the 1972 porno flick Deep Throat were filmed is currently listed for sale. The home was built in 1961 and was owned by aristocrat Baron Joseph “Sepy” De Bicske Dobronyi before he passed away in 2010.

Miami New Times compares the film scenes with some images of the mansion today:

The film follows the plight of Linda Lovelace (playing a fictionalized version of herself), a sexually liberated woman who can’t quite reach the big O. For help she visits a doctor, and well, what do you know the doctor apparently keeps his office in one of the mansion’s cottages…

Linda then becomes some sort of sexual nurse and visits a patient in a wine cellar…

New York City-based artist Mike Sullivan builds miniature robots which he is employing as porn stars in a stop-motion animated robot sex movie he has been working on for 10 years. Filmmaker Matt Lenski created a short documentary about Sullivan and his robots entitled “The Meaning of Robots” (trailer). The film premieres January 20 at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Whenever asked, “How long did it take you to make this?” I always respond, “My whole life up to that moment.” And it’s true.

I never liked the idea that someone could just buy my work. I develop ideas forever, then struggle with finding a way to execute them that makes sense, often traversing through several iterations. And then someone writes a check and that’s the end. What?

I work too hard on this stuff. Simply paying for it and hanging it on a wall is too easy. I don’t want anything I do becoming another inanimate object that decorates someone’s home. I want more. I want ramifications!

So I came up with this. This feels more like a real transaction. Yes, you get to own something I made, but you also accept some responsibility. Put this on your wall and you have to be more honest as a result. It’s more than just an image, it becomes a point of interaction with everyone who comes into your home. It’s simple ink on paper, but wherever it hangs, there’re social implications.

It’s not for everyone.

Blackboards in Porn is a site that reviews the blackboards found in school-themed pornography for accuracy and educational level.

The handwriting is large and generally clear, even though this class appears to only have one student in it, and he sits at the very front. It might be worth advising the student to have his eyes tested if he is unable to read smaller text at this distance. Remember that poor learning may be as a result of poor vision – the student might not even be aware that he has a problem. If the teacher does keep her handwriting that size she will have to get a bigger whiteboard when she starts doing quadratic equations. Octopoteuthis deletron, a species of deep sea squid, engages in same-sex sexual behavior according to a new research paper by Hendrik J. T. Hoving and fellow researchers at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. The researchers found evidence that male squid were attempting to mate with males with the same frequency they mated with females. The researchers theorize the behavior is the equivalent of a “shoot first, ask questions later” policy:

The researchers think that male squid may mate with any member of their species they encounter, which helps these rare animals take advantage of any possible chance to reproduce. Co-author Bruce Robison explains, “This is a solitary species that is not very abundant; it lives in deep, dark waters where opportunities for reproduction are few and far between. In response to that challenge, this reproductive strategy ensures that no opportunity for successful mating is lost. It’s kind of like buying a Lotto ticket, except the odds are much better.”

Strange Attractors: Investigations in Non-Humanoid Extraterrestrial Sexualities is an upcoming book and DVD that explore alien sexuality through art, film, and “speculative science.” The book is not about human-alien sex, a subject that has already been explored in great detail, judging by the 1.9 million Google search results for that term.

Strange Attractors is a collaboration between the The Institute of Extraterrestrial Sexuality and publisher Encyclopedia Destructica. They are raising funds for the project on Kickstarter.
