It's called chewing tobacco and helps no one. As an ex-smoker, I really don't trust any kind of alternative to smoking tobacco. The pictures of gum cancer from the anti-chewing tobacco ads are enough to convince me not to try anything similar. At least with smoking you don't SEE the damage you're doing.
