‘Californication’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers Played by TeamDare’s Robot Band

TeamDare has been building competitive robots since 2001, but it’s this band of ‘bots that have really put the Dutch engineering collective on the map. Here a trio of robo-players take on the title track from the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 1999 LP, Californication. Two robots play the drum and guitar, while a third swaps in a pan pipe for Anthony Kiedis’s vocals. There are a number of other robo-covers on TeamDare’s YouTube page, including Dick Dale’s “Miserlou” and No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak.”
