C Bobby's Owl Tree

Last night, after the SF Tech Sessions, we stopped by the legendary C Bobby’s Owl Tree to say hello to San Francisco photographer extraordinaire Thomas Hawk, who was there for a small Flickr meetup (here are my photos). I haven’t been to The Owl Tree in years. I think the last time was for the Cacophony Society’s Dean Martin wake back in 1998. It’s an amazing and bizarre little bar, with hundreds of owls all over the place. Almost everything has some kind of owl theme. You always have that feeling you’re being watched while having a drink there. The place is a hoot!

Ouch.

I think you need to post a gratuitous unicorn chaser as punishment.

Hey Scott. Thanks for stopping by. The night only got crazier with our turning our visiting Autstralian dignitary Mr. Chalk loose on the Tenderloin. Good to see you again!

Is the Owl Tree still open? The sign in the window said out of business.
